What about these days?

Here I am with another post!
This evening I'm free and I decided to just get home and relax a bit, because I'm really tired.

I'm gonna update you about what happened in those days.
The first evening was really bad: we arrived in London around 7.15 and we had to get on a bus for a two hours long trip to the Harrow (I still don't know why they brang us there)
We arrived in a social club where some EF Leaders welcomed us, saying that we had to wait for the families to come; but the families didn't came, so they called a taxi for everyone of us and we had to wait like an hour and an half until we went home.
I went in a taxi with three other italian girls, but I was the last to reach her host family. But surprise, the address on MyEF was wrong and we got lost, so the taxi driver called my host family to get the right address. In the mean time I was alone in a taxi at midnight only with a taxi driver with me.
You can't understand how scared I was.

The next day we had to be at 9am in the Euston station, where we stayed for like an hour doing more or less nothing except going to get our weekly travel card; then we went to a park near the school, where there was all the EF students arrived the day before. We stayed there like another hour and then we have been divided in groups; my group went to a little tour around the school and then got back to the park. At 3pm we got our first lesson but I think we did nothing.

On Thursday we had lessons in the morning with Emilia, a very stupid teacher (in my opinion) and we started to work on our video project. Every group has to do a video with an app called EF My Take and the best video is gonna win and every member of the winning group is gonna win a particular camera. In the afternoon we went for a little tour all around the London Eye and in the evening we had the disco: it was so nice and I really had so much fun.

On Friday, in the morning, we went for a tour around Trafalgar Square: we really didn't nothing interesting, they only brang us there and then they organized a task; we had a list with some things which we had to photograph. It was a little bit funny but also very tiring, because we had to walk from Trafalgar Square to the Big Ben only to take three photos. In the afternoon we had our first Ipad lesson, but it was so stupid and I really didn't enjoyed it. I just think this lessons are very boring, even if I'm in the highest level. They're so stupid, I didn't learn anything until now. I hope the next week is going to be better.

Today we went to Oxford, but we did nothing there. We only went to the Christchurch, but there was an even inside and we couldn't get in to see the Harry Potter's dining hall, that was a pity because I'm a huge fan of that saga. Then we went on the main Street and they gave us like two or more hours of free time to do shopping, but I was really bored and I just wanted to get home.

Tomorrow we're going to the EF Arena to do some "funny" sports and then to Camden Town.

So, this is the story about those days. Until now I just thing that I wasted my money, I really hope is going to be better for the next two weeks.
But I have to say one thing: in my group there are like four italians and we only stay together. I never stay with foreign students and so do them: everyone stay with his group and not with the foreign students. I think that's so bad, they really don't do anything to let us staying with people that aren't from our country.

For now that's all.

Surprise: we changed your host family!

What's up everybody?

Only 3 days left until I'm going to leave for London! I'm so excited, really.
But there's a bad new. Everything was too good, I've should know that something was going to happen.

EF changed my host family.

WTF. I'm so angry with them! They have a shitty organization, really; they have changed host families to many people, a friend of mine was changed four times!
They will send me in a farer house, with a family that don't have the e-mail! I can't even contact them.

That's a pity, because I had already contact the other host family and it was really good.
Fortunately I found a swedish girl that is going to live with me, but I'm so down.

I really hope is gonna be a good family. Finger crossed.

What about the trip?

One thing I forgot to say in the last post is that I'm not going to blog only about the study trip with the EF!
In September I'm going two weeks in the USA for an exchange, ten days in Boston with my american host family and four days in New York with my friends in a simple hotel. And I'd really love to blog also about that trip. And maybe about other trips too, in the future.

However, another bad weather day, another post.

I just don't understand why the sky is cloudy on the 19 June! Fortunately, according to metereologists, tomorrow the sun will shine again, because I really can't stand this weather.
I hate so much cold days, when the sky is grey, the wind freeze everyone, there are so many thunder and everybody are sadder.

And yes, I'm going to one of the most cloudy cities in the world! I must be really stupid, but London is so beautiful even with its terrible weather. But maybe I'm lucky and this year the sun will shine as last summer: I went two weeks in Dublin and I've tanned! The temperature was amazing, I used to wear shorts and tops. Best study trip ever.
However, probably I'm only dreaming and I will have to carry the umbrella with me everyday.

I'm going to update you a bit about my trip in London.

Those are the info about my fly;

I must be at the airport at 4.15 PM. The cool thing is that I leave from Milan, but I live in ROME!
More or less four hours by train. I couldn't be happier -.-"
And what about the return? I will arrive in Milan at the 9.45 PM, that means I will have to stay one night in a hotel and then, the next day, return to Rome with another four hours trip by train.
And that's all because I'm probably the only one from Rome leaving on the 01.07.
Wonderful!

A few days ago I also got the info about my host family:

( I covered the numbers and the e-mail for privacy)

So I'm a bit far from the school, 40/45 minutes by metropolitan, it's a journey!
I also discovered that a girl from Denmark is going to stay with me! It will be interesting, but I hope we're going to have different rooms because I'd really love to mantain my privacy.

This will be my home for three weeks:

It seems pretty cute, probably I'm going to sleep on the second floor. I just hope my host parents will be nice and friendly and the house will be cute and clean: last year I got a really bad host family, with a really bad house. The host father wasn't often at home, I think I've seen him only two or three times in two weeks; he didn't know my name and he never asked. The host brothers were two annoying kids and the host mum wasn't really nice; she was kind, but not talky and sociable at all. The house was really big, but so dirty and messy and there were spiders everywhere (I suffer from arachnofobia, you just can imagine how I felt when I saw them)

What else?

Every EF student has a personal account on a social network called MyEF, thanks to it I was added to a whatsapp group with other students that are going to be with me in London. Also I had to do a test online, to assess my english level: it was quite simple for me, I finished it in more or less ten minutes. I don't know why they let us did it, we're going to do another test when in London, so I don't understand the usefulness of this previous test.

My trip has some more things than the others: I added the fun pack, that will bring me to the London Daungeons, to Madame Tassauds, to the bowling and some other places. A few days ago I found that they have replaced the laser tag with the bowling, that sucks! I hate bowling and I love laser tag, I'm so unlucky.
Also I bought the ticket for the Summeranza 2014: it's a big event in a big place, we're going to stay all day together doing funny things like the body painting, the silent disco, something like that! And in the evening there will be a concert with a member of the Black Eyed Peas, the black guy I think (not Will.I.Am, the other black guy, the smaller one) it's going to be amazing!

For today that's all, have a good day!

Mrs Worldwide alias Claudia.

Hello everybody!
Claudia is talking, 16 yrs girl from Rome.

There's such a bad weather outside, I couldn't go out with my friends. That sucks, but the positive thing is that I decided to definitely start this blog; I started to think about it a few months ago, when i bought my trip.

Well, probably you're asking yourself "who the fuck is that girl and where she's going to go?"

Well, as I said before, I'm Claudia and I'm an italian high school student.
In February (more or less) I bought a study trip with the EF, so yeah, I'm going to London for three weeks guys! From the 01.07 to the 21.07.

I'm pretty excited about it, can't wait to be in London! I fell in love with that city three yrs ago, the first time I went there. It was a study trip too, but it wasn't so cool; I had some problems with my group and I couldn't appreciate the city enough. That's the opportunity to finally enjoy London in all its beauty!

This isn't my first study trip, I started to go abroad when I was 11 yrs old. Every summer I go on a study trip: the first year I stayed in a residence near Liverpool, but then I realized that the residence was so cool but not that useful for the language, so I started to stay in host families.
I've been one time in London and three times near Dublin.
But this is the first time I'm going with the EF, the first time I'm going to stay three (and not two, as I was used to) weeks and the first time I'm going totally alone (I always did those trips with at least one friend of mine) so it's, in part, a new experience for me.

Even if the EF Blogger Competition seems not renewed, I wanted to share with the world (?) this amazing experience: I will try to do my best to keep you update, with posts, photos and, if I can complete my project, with vlogs. I'll try to record everything about my trip! Also I'm a bit addicted to selfies, so maybe you're going to a find a lot of selfies in this blog :P
